Sanderson Firm PLLC has an opening for a Legal Assistant with 0-3 years of legal assistant or paralegal experience. The ideal candidate will have Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) experience, but prior MSP experience is not required.
We are a specialized MSP firm that will invest the necessary resources to develop your skills and knowledge. This position requires clear and concise written communication skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to switch between tasks quickly.

- This role is a remote-capable position. “Remote-capable” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to Sanderson Firm. Sanderson Firm’s home office is located in downtown Bradenton, FL, and employees are encouraged to work from the office a few days per week, if desired.
- Provide pre-review and quality assurance of Medicare Set-Aside reports
- Deliver completed Medicare Set-Aside reports to clients in accordance with various client handling protocols
- Prepare Medicare Set-Aside submission packages, and file completed Medicare Set-Aside reports to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) through the federal government online Medicare Set-Aside submission portal
- Assist in preparing PowerPoint presentations
- Assist in obtaining signatures on certain contracts / forms through DocuSign
- Regularly communicate with direct supervisor regarding workload status and provide additional support as needed to other departments
- Perform any other duties to assist attorneys, including call scheduling
- Abide by all rules of the company such as safety, confidentiality, and organizational directives
- Associate's Degree preferred, and 1-3 years of relevant experience in a customer service and/or administrative role.
- Ability to work remotely in a productive and efficient manner.
- Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe PDF.
- Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed.
- Ability to follow instructions and respond to managements’ directions accurately.
- Must possess excellent skills in English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Must be able to work independently, prioritize work activities and use time efficiently.
- Ability to concentrate and multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team-oriented environment.
